A workset is a user-created collection of network file volumes and printers. Worksets provide a convenient way to:
Store frequently mounted file volumes and printers in one location, on your local disk or network drive. Access and mount related volumes and printers at one time. Share these worksets among users.
Note: A workset is a Macintosh file. It is not a StreetTalk object that can be found using the StreetTalk Attribute Search dialog.
Leslie Fraser is currently working on multiple presentations that require access different network file volumes and printers. Leslie might set up two separate worksets.
These worksets allow Leslie to simultaneously access the resources contained in them.

2. Either:
- Choose New Workset from the File menu.
- Press cmd-N.
An untitled, empty workset window appears.
The following sections describe how to modify and use worksets.
Adding and Deleting Items in a Workset
File volumes and printers can be added or deleted from a workset at any time. There are three ways to add item names to a workset:
Use the StreetTalk Attribute Search dialog to drag item names. Drag items from other worksets. Paste items from the clipboard.
Using StreetTalk Attribute Search to Move Items
1. Open the StreetTalk Attribute Search dialog, if not already open.
2. Open a new or previously saved workset window, if it is not already open. See "Opening Previously Created Worksets" later in this document for more information.
3. Choose the desired file volumes or printers in the Search Results list of the StreetTalk Attribute Search dialog.
Select the item or items that you want to copy to the destination workset.

2. Click anywhere in the source workset to make it active.

If you attempt to add items whose StreetTalk name cannot be identified, an error message similar to the following appears.
The item appears in the workset window, marked with a question mark
To delete items, select the item and either:

If a workset contains items that are frequently mounted, it is recommended that you save the workset to a workset file. If stored on a network file volume, users can freely share worksets, as they do not contain any user-related information, such as user name or password. Save the workset with a meaningful name, so that you can find it easily.
To save a workset, follow these steps:

Select the item and choose Get Info from the Network menu. Select the item and press cmd-I. Double-click the item.
An Information dialog similar to the following appears.
The breadth of information that appears in the Information dialog depends upon the attributes your system administrator entered for each workset item.
